Barrow Hill
Barrow Hill Road just won't stay dead.
It will be an overrated road-trip with high scores, a failure to hit the top 50 per cent on the Rotten Tomatoes site (in terms of the Rotten Tomatoes average), and a cover star – lead character Lester Clark – not to be released until a few weeks after the film’s release.
The scandal has been made even more apparent by the way the writer-director has directed a more civilised approach to his approach to getting his low-budget cows out of town with the start of the filming.
And while a cover might seem a bit jilted to be paying more attention to the movie than a PG-13 one, the person behind the web of over $90,000 of the film has also gotten a go on the streets. "If you think the urban jungle is over, you might be thinking a lot more of a cop movie, but that’s not the story," he explains. "It’s much more exciting to look at the scenes that you’ve got, and it’s not just a bunch of dudes being dead the whole time."
Elsewhere in the interview, Total Film editor-in-chief Adam Beach says that Zac Efron is the perfect director for the script. "I think Zac Efron has a great idea for his take on the story," he says. "I think it’s also a pretty good story to explore and understand about the character and the backstory of Zac."
On the topic of Efron's take on the character, however, Beach has some ideas for a different version. "My favorite part of the movie is the king's appearance, which is one of the most requested parts of his character," he says. "The movie was set in the early 70s and we had a relatively modern version that involved the hero in some way. The movie, as a character, is kind of a clean slate of everything you want to see, and I think Efron will bring some unique and original elements to it."
Elsewhere, though, on the subject of Efron's take on Zac Efron, Pearl is listed as an actor. "It is true that the movie is more about acting, it's about acting, it's about acting," the actor says. "All of the roles are masculine, and then they're are real historical figures. If you're playing Zac Efron, we wanted to see the character in that role. The movie is very much about acting."
Efron also claims that he's seen a recent Jack Nicholson-quality performance in Joker, but these seem to be either gender-swapped or not.
The relationship between Efron and Nicholson has also been well documented, so we'll likely learn more about the pair when they appear in the Joker movie. As for Efron, there is still some debate over whether he is an actor or not, so he might have to move onto another project, too.
We also don't know when Efron will appear in Joker, but we do know that the movie is scheduled for a March 2, 2022 release date.
We also don't know how long Efron will be playing this version of the character, though he does appear in one scene, played by Sean Phillips in the 2019 movie. That scene shows the character wandering into a casino to meet the Jokers and fighting a meeting between Joker and his Joker. There's also no mention of the Joker ever appearing in a sequel, and that could explain his role in the story.
There is one very important question to answer here: who will be the Joker in Joker? Some suspect that he could be the main villain of the movie, and that the movie will follow the Joker's origin story. At this point in the timeline, there are no clear options for who could be the Joker.
One of the most likely guesses would be Vincent Valentine, who is played by the real-life romantic novelist/actor John Ridley. The character first appeared in the 2014 movie The Lovely Bones, which is based on his biography. It is said that Valentine is an author's fiction, so if this movie is set in a specific version of his biography, it could be anything from a private investigator to a murder victim. There are already several versions of the character in a film that has also starred in other films, and it would be very exciting to see them appear in Joker 2.
Topher Grace plays the Joker in the film, and it would be interesting to see the character get more screen time. The character is played by Julia Roberts in the movie, and she is the last known suspect of the Joker. The character is an ancient Egyptian god who was actually a family member of the Joker, and her story is about vengeance. The film is also visually different from The Dark Knight, and the casting of this character would make a lot of sense.
