Backyard Basketball 2007
Backyard Basketball 2007 was previously announced for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but today marks the game's release on both platforms. Developed by Gameloft and Snow Leopard Entertainment, Backyard Basketball 2007 is the third title in a long-running, famous series of golf games. It was first announced at the 2006 Electronic Entertainment Expo, and now the developer has released the latest details on the game.
More than 90 different clubs have been accurately recreated in Backyard Basketball 2007, including the likes of M&M's Country Bears, San Diego Irving's Country Caddy, and the Nurburgring Cup Playoffs. Players will be able to use motion-captured animation for the player and his legs. The game also includes customizable ball control, including remote control to alter the way the ball's movement and wind makes it through the ball.
"For all the reasons we've been really good with the latest technology, we are confident our game will be a success with console gamers," said Gameloft's managing director Alain Corre. "We know our players like this game and we hope our users are as excited as we are."
Backyard Basketball 2007 is slated to launch in stores in early 2009. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
