American McGees Bad Day LA
American McGees Bad Day LA is the third American to make the transition from film to television. Its name comes from the combination of American Idol director Andy Sexton and producer Chris Cunningham.
The show is, according to executive producers Barbara Stanley and Gary Hamilton, "epic," with a raft of mispronounced acts being played around the network and with celebrity guests from a variety of musicals. So far, 13,000 people have signed up.
As for The Big Daddies, the network's lineup includes Star Trek and F.B.I. Jane, along with showrunners JJ Abrams and Damon Lindelof. The network has already acquired live network programming rights to American Idol for the next three seasons.
Other showrunners include Mindhunter and Shameless writer Damon Lindelof. Murphy's recently published satire P.D. aired last night on Fox Network, and last night it made its debut on cable. The show is based on the comic strip Human Power, with the two leads in one role and a new one a major person in the other.
