Ambulance Driver , the action film that was shot in 1996, has now been added to the list of upcoming DC movies due in 2011. “This film will be a thrill ride for the DC fans and with a $5 million budget,” producer Scott Rudin told Collider . “It will be a vehicle of the scale, scale and scope of the DCEU and the cinematic style and style, but the film will have all the film's plot and the flow of the movie.” When we last heard from Warner Bros, they were quoted as saying they were aiming to take on Superman "and I'm sure the box office will explode if the two of them can pull it off.” We still don’t know much about the plot, with director Roland Emmerich promising a mixture of action and slow-motion, so we can assume he’ll have a few surprises thrown in for good measure. We know that Ewan McGregor will be reprising his role as the titular character in a third outing, but what exactly the plot will be remains a mystery. It is expected to hit cinemas in 2013, and has no doubt been allocated the 16th spot at the box office.

Next up on the countdown, is Star Wars: Episode VII , which will star Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher as First Order ’s Chewbacca. As well as an appearance from John Boyega’s Lando Calrissian, Star Wars: Episode VII will also see Keri Russell, Alec Baldwin and John Boyega come to the fore. The Han Solo movie will also be directed by J.J. Abrams and will see two Star Wars veterans - Billy Dee Williams and Adam Driver - depart from the series for undisclosed reasons. When asked if Lando Calrissian would be found in Episode VII , Abrams replied: “Absolutely!” We will see…

The news will be quite the surprise, as the controversy around the forthcoming The Force Awakens movie remains very much in the air. So, after four disappointing reveals at this year’s Comic-Con , we thought we’d give the rumour some more thorough evidence: In an interview with Slashfilm , Adam Driver discussed The Force Awakens ’ production schedule, promising to go through at least three days of filming. “You have a timetable. There is a plan for a production schedule. We will start shooting a day [from] November 1, [and we will] have cinemas, then we will take off and our production will go ahead again. It's all at one weekend.” Driver is also hoping to make use of the movie’s richly creative history – explaining that he found The Dark Knight a novel “nearly novel on my own,” “and he found out that it was actually my character’s origins, so it made sense for me to write it”. The actor has also explained that he took inspiration from some of the novels that made his character such a compelling choice for the story. “I think it’s interesting that a book that, at the end of the day, has a really dramatic and compelling arc and we give him his own character arc.” We’ll have to wait until 2015 for Driver to go from shooting to shooting, but we think it’s safe to say he knows exactly how to make this work. That said, we’d bet that Driver will make quite an impact on the big screen. X-Men: First Class opens in the UK on 12 May 2013.
