Alien Shooter 2
Alien Shooter 2 is now in development by Humanoid Software, who also had us hold up on an exciting, albeit buggy, summer launch. The company is looking to make a true successor to the original Alien Shooter, but with an assortment of enhancements and new technology.
Alien Shooter 2 is going to look a lot better than the first.
One of the reasons this new game has been so bad is that the game takes place after the original Alien Shooter and has instead taken place in outer space. At the end of the game, the Alien ship is annihilated. In order to save humanity, the team of soldiers was forced to crash land on a large moon orbiting the planet. This gave Earth a pretty bleak postapocalyptic feel, which is especially disappointing given how different the overall aesthetic is from the original game.
Instead, the aliens have now moved on to the moon, and have settled on a planet that is a lot larger than the first game's planet. This gives Earth a somewhat different feel from the blasted out of space in the first game, which was a bit too "gritty" for its own good. Players will have to make use of all of the upgrades available to them, as they will be in constant danger. This also means that there will be enemies that are a bit stronger in this game.
Alien: Isolation, which is due out later this year, has taken quite a few cues from the original game in terms of visuals. The sci-fi setting has been expanded quite a bit, with some cool elements of lighting and a greater sense of realism in the atmosphere. Alien: Isolation also features a level creator that allows players to create their own levels and share them online.
The game is now looking like it will be coming out sometime in 2017, with the full version due out for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It's not entirely clear at this point if the sequel to the hit survival horror title Isolation is on the way. Still, if the first game in the series did get an HD remaster it would definitely be a welcome addition.
It seems like everyone has seen that even in modern times there's a growing trend of getting pushed into the mainstream. This has certainly led to a lot of companies wanting their games to be viewed as more mainstream products, but there's no denying that there are still a ton of people that are into the mainstream gaming hobby.

Most people tend to forget that their favorite genre is basically always going to be for kids, with many people still finding modern titles to be a bit more mature than their typical counterparts. Regardless, there are still several zombie-themed games that are popular for their mature themes.
A zombie game that is very much based on The Walking Dead is an excellent choice for fans of the popular AMC series. Aside from its iconic art style, many other games in the series don't feature anything too mature or dark, which could be a huge deal.
The Dead Rising games have always been able to embrace their dark subject matter with great finesse. As a result, some people might argue that the games have become slightly too edgy for their own good, which is a shame.
The Batman Arkham series is one of the most popular superhero franchises of all time. The games offer riveting combat, riveting visuals, and engaging characters that are a joy to play through.

The series doesn't waste time in getting too dark, so fans can only play as the most twisted versions of the Caped Crusader. In a series as drearily bleak as Arkham, the atmosphere is usually in a class of its own.
Many people might argue that The Last of Us is the most divisive game on this list. The incredible plot twist is one of the biggest reasons why so many people adore this title. The gameplay might be fairly simple, but the story is truly sublime and makes players feel like they're in a heightened state of anxiety.
The fact that The Last of Us Part 2 ends on a high note is quite an achievement. The performances of the main cast are more than makeup for a lack of an emotional investment, with the game's story also being quite incredible.
Dying Light is a game that was absolutely perfect from the get-go. The zombies sounded scary from the very first moment they jumped on the player, making for a fun time indeed.

It's easy to see why Dying Light has been lauded by many fans. Techland has crafted an amazing game that fans of zombie games should definitely check out.
While Resident Evil 4 is generally considered by many to be the highlight of the series, its Wii port was woefully inadequate. Nintendo and Capcom's efforts to port the game were universally panned.
