Agatha Christie And Then There Were None
Agatha Christie And Then There Were None is the first fully animated version of the property. The British classic (spoiler: It was supposed to be directed by Oren Uziel) is a comedy genius which puts its fictional collection of works together and begins with the Victorian gentleman that appears in the title role: Miramax in the episode “About Her Death”.
After the identity of the painting is revealed to be none other than the Easter-styled priestess Atrus, the film ends with the magnificent hotel where the second story, in which the book lays out the rules for the cast (whose final form is the Star and Girl Easter variant) the audience sees in the “Life After Death” story. As well as being an important video game for children, it’s also the perfect blueprint for a three-part mystery which never stops surprising viewers.

Now, the original plot, which debuted in the 80s, is set a few decades after the events of the original film, following a Captain America and his wife Peggy who are being held captive in the town of Basswood, Alabama. She’s at the mercy of the latter, and she begins to believe she’s about to be captured by the Red Skull, who goes on a rampage to kill the helpless woman. Eventually, the Red Skull kidnaps Peggy, and they try to save her, but they both die on a motorbike.
The movie is also notable for being the first movie in the MCU to feature a major supporting player, as Wong (Wong) has appeared in multiple other MCU projects, and Alexander Skarsgård (Hulk) and Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) appeared in the first Captain America film. Although the film was very well-received, the Falcon and the Winter Soldier came in third place, and the MCU’s Phase 4 has mostly been handled with the former, which means some of the supporting characters could’ve been recast as well.
However, that’s not to say that Falcon and the Winter Soldier isn’t the kind of movie that Falcon and the Winter Soldier did. It’s a great action-adventure, but it also has more character work than the previous two MCU movies combined. It focuses on the relationship between Sam and Bucky, which makes the movies so much more interesting. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was received well by fans and critics, and it’s still one of the best MCU movies to this day.
Another action-adventure movie that was underrated by some fans, Black Widow (2018) wasn’t the sequel fans expected and didn’t do much of anything other than fill the MCU’s gaping void left by Captain America: Civil War (2017). It’s mostly about Natasha Romanoff’s past, and the mystery of her parents. This was one of the few Black Widow solo films that worked with both the action and the superhero elements, and it’s one of the best MCU movies to date.
Black Widow takes place in modern-day New York City, and as it’s set in the same universe as the previous MCU movies, it felt like a callback to that world rather than a reboot, and this movie manages to bring the tension and drama of the movies back again.
If Marvel movies are feeling a bit stale, then the good news is they're still refreshing and fun and often hilarious and all throughout the movie, because it's an MCU movie that works in a variety of different genres.
It helps that Black Widow takes place in a modern-day setting, so as you might expect, it makes it feel as fresh and new as possible. And even if you haven’t seen a Marvel movie since the Infinity War, it’s still refreshing to see one of the most popular and loved characters in a superhero movie, so it’s a joy to see these characters again.
One of the great things about Black Widow is that it has no ties to the previous MCU movies and as such, isn’t trying to pretend to be a reboot or a sequel.

However, this movie did the story well and it did what we expected and made it feel like a reboot, despite being a sequel to a superhero movie. The action, humor, and drama also made it feel like a modern-day take on the superhero genre.
The decision to make Black Widow an origin story helped to spark interest in the movie, especially after she went to war with Natasha Romanoff. Plus, when the story started focusing on Clint Barton, Natasha had to find a way to be both the hero and the hero.
