Absolute Patience
Absolute Patience is the newest game from Kotaku's Greg Schafferty. The title was originally announced as the company's second PlayStation 2 game, but it's now been officially confirmed as Absolute Patience.
Absolute Patience is a vehicular combat game where the main character is a flying craft, a human craft engineer. The game takes place in the year 2026, where the main character is supposed to be assassinated and is set up as the planet's last hope. But there is a twist: humans exist, and you're working for a greater purpose.
He needs the info, and you're forced to stay alert. You must negotiate obstacles and complete missions to save the planet, and you'll need to try to fight your way through the resistance as fast as you can.
The game's missions are designed to test your wits, but Schafferty has said that they will be suitable for arcade and action games in general.
Absolute Patience is scheduled to be available for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, and PC. A Game Boy Advance version is also in the works.

How does Far Cry 2 stand out from other games of the series?
Far Cry 2 is set in a tropical island nation, where you're one of two factions fighting against the dictator, Pagan Min. You play as a tourist who finds himself stranded on the island. While exploring, he discovers that he has been contacted by one of your two rebels, who have allied themselves with a German military force called The Caravan. It's up to you to fight against the opposing forces, and you do so in the style of a real war movie.
How is this next-gen platform different from that of last-gen consoles?
It looks like a next-gen first-person shooter, but not nearly as good as last-gen systems.
Why is the Xbox 360 and PS3 not the "next-gen" console?
It seems like it's better than Xbox 360. The graphics, the controls, and the performance have been vastly improved for each platform. The cutscenes look more lifelike and use all of the information the game makes available on the screen. The 360 version also features improved lighting and shadows. When looking through the rich, vibrant palette of the environments, the attention to detail in the vegetation, and the overall quality of the game, it's easy to see why developers are focusing on the new consoles.
How will the gameplay work? Will you be able to switch between third-person and first-person?
For this, we are going to have a choice between third-person and first-person. The player is able to choose between first- or first-person depending on his or her preference. First-person is played from a third-person perspective, so there is a greater dynamic. Then there's the other type of gameplay, which we're calling "action."
A lot of the fun is knowing where the enemy is. Enemies can come from all directions. If they go into a room with several zombies, they have no idea what's going on. If they run into a room full of zombies, they are alerted and can't shoot, and then they can get up and try to take them out. If they do run into a room full of zombies, the player will see an enemy and know how to deal with it.
The player will have to keep track of the distance between themselves and the zombies. They can easily go through a room or go up to a higher area, where they'll hear the zombies coming. If the player is getting up from the side, he or she can get up and look around them. They can also find their own hiding spots by using a tablet.
During the opening scenes of the game, the player will be able to hear the enemy's intentions and try to shoot them, or they can try to do it by hiding in a closet or standing next to a wall. The goal is to shoot the enemy and then shoot them in the head with the knife.
If the player does this enough times, they will find that they can kill the zombies and other civilians. If the player gets spotted by the enemies, they can continue to look around and shoot at the enemy. However, if the player does this enough times, they will be able to get away. It's a great feature to have and will be a welcome one for players who want to try to remain hidden from the zombie hordes.
While the game may have elements of chase and comedy to it, there are still some instances where the game is asking players to keep their distance from the zombie. One of the more annoying parts of the game is when a player is being chased by zombies or by civilians. This can be very frustrating when the player is standing in front of a busy street with a window.
