A Vampyre Story is a 3D interactive drama set in the fictional Canadian wilderness of 2063. In the game, you'll play as the last survivor of a murder conviction gone wrong, and you'll play as an American journalist and a burgeoning journalist, as you search for answers about the murder. This game has plenty of fighting and political intrigue to keep you busy, and the first few moments of the game take place in different times in the Canadian wilderness.

The movie's producer, Samuel Beale, says that the reason the game is so dark and highly graphic is because he had to deal with a lot of moral anxiety, because it's one of the few games to actually make you feel uneasy about the reality of the situation. So you'll have to be careful and keep your eyes open. It's not a game for children, but it's a very affecting experience that's a lot of fun.

You can check out the preview video below for more info about the game, and watch the development team talk about how the game was made, how it made the transition to 3D, and what's coming up in the final version.

Vancouver 2010--Downtown--For those who are fans of the movie, Vancouver 2010 is definitely one to look out for. The action will take place in Vancouver and feature all of the main characters, all of whom will have unique combat animations, such as kickboxing, running, climbing, fighting, and so on. You'll also be able to have the game fight in first-person and shoot your way through it.

What can you tell us about the multiplayer mode?

If you've ever played a game like Tiger Woods PGA Tour, you know that you'll know that the game has a lot of depth and realism. The biggest differentiator is that the gameplay is single-player only, which is fine, because you'll be able to play against the computer as well. And you'll be able to play as both online and local multiplayer. I mean, we've worked out pretty well for a title like Tiger Woods in terms of presentation. So now that we've got that done, I think we're going to have a really solid multiplayer and great online system.

GSUK: How are you taking advantage of the PS3 controller? Is there any kind of advantage to using the pad?

TS: Absolutely, and certainly not too close. We want to make sure that it's not the controller for the whole game. The thumbsticks and the trigger buttons feel right. You really don't need to look in a way that's going to constrain the player, or you could get around the face buttons and try to make things as smooth as possible.

GS: How have you taken advantage of the fact that you've made some of the specific tweaks to the swing system, such as how the weight is adjustable, to give you an idea of what sort of distances you can swing a golf club.

TS: Well, we're pretty much offering more options in terms of the swing. We have a big swing mechanism that we call "A Swing" and that will allow the player to use a bit more of a swing, and we're not going to take that away. It's really just going to be a matter of making sure the player is getting that first swing, rather than trying to make it to the point where we're giving the player more flexibility.

GS: As far as pushing the camera into the middle of the playing field, do you have any plans to include that functionality?

TS: We definitely have plans for that. We're looking into that, but we have no specific plans for it at this point. We're just going to keep working on it and hopefully take the feedback from our players.

GS: We understand that this year's Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 will be a full-fledged game, a year after the launch of last year's game. How do you feel that the game will be improved on this year's game, and how will the changes be affected?

TS: The biggest thing for me, from a performance standpoint, is that I think this year is more enjoyable and feels more approachable. I'm really excited about how the game is coming along and really felt the passion and excitement of the team. There was a lot of buzz around this year, but I'm very focused on developing the gameplay to be enjoyable for a long time to come.

I'm really looking forward to the big hit that we've put out this year, and people are really excited about it. We're looking at a lot of things--we'll have an E3-style presentation of Tiger at the show--where it's important for us to make sure we have a great game that is fun and that is a great product, and the other way to do that is if we really have to do it in the right way.
