Lumo can't even hold a candle to its solid competitor, the Yamaha YAS. The Yamaha YAS-10 features Yamaha's complete control scheme and networked audio system - it's capable of receiving Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital in addition to Dolby TrueHD and DTS Virtual:X (for Dolby Pro Logic II), plus a fair number of handy features, such as a customizable Sound Dial.

The YAS-10 is about as if you're dancing on the phone - and the Yamaha YAS-10 has the capability to transmit music from anywhere in the world, courtesy of its digital connection. One of the key features on the YAS-10 is the ability to link with the Yamaha Music Center, a one-stop hub that provides various music streaming services, such as Spotify.

Although there is currently no way to plug the YAS-10 into an HDMI port, a firmware update will enable it to be used on both home and office networks. A firmware update would be ideal for this scenario, and the YAS-10 may be able to take advantage of the better audio quality of its predecessor, but for now you won't be able to make use of it on your own network.

We've got a full review of the YAS-10 soon, and are excited to see how the best audio devices come to compete with some of the most popular models available.

Panasonic's IN-1 soundbar is so ambitious it might be an obvious proposition if you're thinking of buying one. It's not too late for a TV that's barely 5 feet deep and comes complete with an all-digital DTS HD Master Audio+ digital amplifier built in.

It boasts an exceptional 5.1 sound, with two 250W woofers that are built to the tune of nine individual channels in Dolby Digital-tuned 10W of amplification. There's a pretty extensive app on Android, but Panasonic's logo may be about as high-quality as it gets.

The subwoofer is a solidly built unit with a deep, metal plinth that features an immersive grille that forms a coiled mainboard and a pair of RCA phonos, while a ring on top of it adds two LEDs, three front ports, and three rear line inputs.

The subwoofer is a neat addition, with a flared metal midsection and a front top surround, as well as a large center input.

The rear speaker driver is surrounded by a set of steel dome tweeters, which come complete with red, blue and silver heatsinks. The rear cabinet also has three paper cone drivers mounted above a flat base and two tweeters that wrap around the front and sides.

The centre channel (which is the larger) is effectively a full-size wall-mounted control unit with the subwoofer on its rear panel, which makes the subwoofer even better. It has a circular curved position which the subwoofer and sub can move independently from each other, while the subwoofer remains in position in the main body of the driver.

This speaker's internal tweeters are placed within a single vertical bracket with front-facing ports, extending to the back of the soundbar.

The subwoofer is designed for integration into other speakers, so don't expect it to be your main system with a separate'set up' box on the rear wall.

Inside the box is a single 200W amp that is powered by three 140W Class D watts power supplies.

The box also includes a remote control, which is better than the alternatives that are out there. There's a dedicated button for the subwoofer and a volume knob and a subwoofer input. The subwoofer is a single sub.

One of the largest differences between the two models of soundbar is the placement of the subwoofer. It's located on the front and rear wall of the subwoofer.

That means it's slightly better placed in the main chassis, though you'll need to change it to the left, down or even down to adjust the volume. The unit can also be placed behind furniture to get that surround effect.

The mid-range driver is smaller than the rear, which means that it is used rather more for building effects and dialogue.

However, the subwoofer comes in four different finishes, though you can change its sound style in the options menu. The first option offers the main driver and the surround back.

The second option makes it slightly larger and easier to drive in the lower side of the system.

The soundbar is also more powerful than the other two, with a number of step adjustments and effects. You can choose between different levels of bass, the upper bass, the lower mid and the top end.

To match the price of the subwoofer, the subwoofer connects wirelessly to a number of cables that you might have to route from other rooms of the system.
