Last Days of Old Earth

Last Days of Old Earth looks to be keeping all the references to classic 8-bit art, but gives the classic an 8-bit twist with a very effective story and plenty of backstory for your video game reference.

The story follows a young boy, Aviel Atkin, who has found himself swept away on a collision course with a nasty female guardian. In the course of his journey, he discovers that he has inherited a strange energy known as the Mag’Thalas. These magical objects are used to awaken Aviel and discover a race of gigantic walking beasts called Rheigalas.

In order to overcome the sheer weight of this ferocious beast, Aviel must conquer hordes of Rheigalas in order to be able to save her from the fate of the world. In order to do this, he must discover the secrets of the celestial world and journey out into the world to discover the other, more dangerous creatures that inhabit it.

The game follows a young boy, Aviel, who learns of this strange phenomenon through his way of travel. In order to achieve this, he must traverse through the sprawling, ever-changing land of Aurbis, taking on the new creatures of the land and facing the obstacles that stand between him and his destiny.
