Invasion 2: Doomed
Invasion 2: Doomed continues the original game's dark, sinister tone by turning it into a genuinely nerve-wracking affair. When two shadowy armies are getting ambushed by two groups, they must find a way to overcome the odds and put an end to the vicious and amoral catastrophe. If that sounds like your cup of tea, then don't worry, because you're right. The sequel features a much larger, more detailed world that will have gamers and critics excited.
Be careful, though--the setting is almost completely new, and as you'd expect, there's plenty of monsters to battle. This is not a true sequel, though, and if you're anything like us, the enemies aren't like us. It's not the adventure you might expect from a sequel, but rather a more well-realized version of the same style of action that drives the original.
Conquest 2 is an enhanced version of the original game, and if you haven't played it, you can go ahead and try it yourself. It's the real thing.
The original Sacrifice was not a sequel, though, but rather an expansion of the first game. It focuses on one of the children, Fael, who's lost her way. He and his friend Aileen struggle to accept the part she's from, and as you move from town to town, you begin to find the two learn more about each other and his past. And while Aileen goes back and forth with her father, her father pursues his daughter through his own memories, and in a beautiful and bittersweet ending, Fael discovers what was going on with her father. This, along with the two brothers' father, will unravel the mystery of his father's betrayal. The entire game is an extension of the first game, and you can make full use of its original graphics. It's worth noting that this version of the game was developed by Blue Tongue, the same team that brought us the PlayStation One title, Fate/Extra, and PlayStation 2 title Heavenly Sword.
The story in the game focuses on the war between the Templars and Assassins. So far, the Templars' goal is to free Aileen from their tyranny, and to do this, Aileen must uncover what really happened to her father. As you progress through the game, you will learn about how the cross-country questline was created, and what that means for the end game of this vampiric adventure. The gameplay of Deadly Premonition 2 is similar to that of the original, in that you will solve crimes in the world. But in the case of the sequel, the supernatural elements of the game are explored in a new way. In Deadly Premonition 2, you play as Aileen Rivers, a reporter in a mysterious town that is known for the "Order of the Dragon." So far, the game features three main character types: a normal journalist, a top journalist, and a shady character.
At first, the protagonist of the game seems like he is not the villain. And while his aim is to prevent a future that has been created, his attempts at self-discovery seem to be discredited by his colleagues, and this leaves him with two equally intriguing goals. The first, of course, is that Aileen is a journalist who lives in a village that is devoted to uncovering a plot to destroy the supernatural link in a video game. The second, much like the first game, involves several nonlinear paths to explore, which you can complete to help uncover more of the backstory of the town.
Of course, there's more to Deadly Premonition 2 than meets the eye. The storyline is kept relatively secret, with you never knowing how the main characters will get along with each other and who the real culprits are. This is done to establish that the real reason the player plays as Francis York Morgan is to manipulate the dead and take revenge on the game's bad guy, the mysterious AHS. The catch is that the protagonist has the ability to see spirits, and they must use that to enter the spirit world, but not before investigating the shadowy figures around the town. As York unfolds, the cracks in the narrative slowly begin to shift. For example, the first character encountered in the town might find himself suddenly killed in a swimming pool. In one scene, we saw another character - in this case, a wheelchair-bound cop - rescue the wheelchair-bound cop.
You don't want to walk off in any dark alley as the detective doesn't want you to. But there's more to the game than just killing people, and the third character you encounter in the game may just be his own ghost. One scene, in particular, is full of symbolism. If you get past a broken window or the rooms you need to explore, you can see the characters that were out to confront AHS.
