Guards

Guardsville, Canada has been the home of games since 1995. While it was a vehicle to show off to game developers that had this vision for the future, Guardsville was the first game to open its doors to the public, and we were lucky enough to have one of our very own to watch and play. The game looks and plays great, but we are still awaiting word on when and if we will be able to take control of another type of Guardsville: the braver barber, the meatier water-pillars that roam the waterways.

Guardsville will feature around 30 different boats that you can select from. Each ship will have a primary passenger, a secondary passenger, a passenger and two passengers. Before you start your race, you are presented with a "wheel" for steering, as well as some options for steering. The wheel is quite easy to turn and is great for keeping the car at high speeds. The steering wheel lets you steer extremely fast, but you don't have to worry about steering too much. To avoid any crashes, you have to choose to brake and turn quickly. If you manage to push the wheel, you can always reset the wheel. The wheel itself is a big, black box that can be folded open to reveal a variety of different racing perspectives. The wheel is also extremely compact, so you can reach your destination pretty easily without worrying about slamming into it. However, because the wheel isn't adjustable, you won't have much of a chance of getting caught up in a race.

After you're done with a race, the racing action is a lot more straightforward than you might expect. You have to pick your way through the race and choose your opponents. You will get your results on the most important lap in a particular race. Once you get to the flagpole, you can pick a car to race on and challenge your opponents to a race. When you're on a race, you're thrown into a game mode that is akin to the track-based modes in Mario Kart. The mode is structured like a movie theater where you have to complete a few lap-based challenges, which tend to last around 10 minutes.

The kart handling in the game has been upgraded, and the controls are much easier to pick up. The D pad is used to accelerate and brake, while the triggers are used to steer. You can also go to a forward race that is your primary goal and will take the place of your opponents. The X button is used for power-sliding, while the Y button is used to steer. When using a car, it's important to select the color of your car before taking the race on. When taking the form of an off-road buggy, you'll have the option to choose from a range of power-ups, such as a rear spoiler, front spoiler, or a rear spoiler. You'll be able to toggle the power-ups by pressing the R button. When in a power-up mode, you'll have a limited number of seconds to select your power-up for a race. Once you're within two seconds, the race is over. The good news is that you can lock on to the opponent and take him or her out with a well-timed power-up.

This is one of the unique features of NFSU3, and it works really well. You'll be able to zoom in and out at will, and your car will reflect the shocks in the dirt and dirt on the asphalt. In addition, your car will change to reflect the changes in elevation. NFSU3 is keeping all of the realistic-looking car models intact, and it'll even give you feedback on how the car is turning.

However, NFSU3 will be using some of the most eye-catching graphical features of the Xbox, including smoke effects and texturing. While it seems like the smoke effects were done in a simplistic manner, the rest of the graphics we've seen so far are extremely impressive. Some cars are even able to reach walls, and if you time your brake properly, you'll leave the car just as you'd like to. It's a subtle touch, but it adds a nice layer of realism.

Another neat aspect of the car models is the new touch system, which allows you to apply different braking and traction control for your car. Tapping the right stick will allow you to adjust the automatic brake and traction. For example, the ABS system is capable of shifting to your leaner and rear brakes, which we found to be an effective way to keep you in the game as you're on the track.

Like its predecessors, the single-player game will feature six car classes--biker, fast, light, and supercar--and a mission-based single-player mode that tests your driving skills. The game will feature several "seasons" in which you can race around different tracks.
