Biohazard Umbrella Corps

Biohazard Umbrella Corps, the third-person shooter from Capcom, is set for release later this year. The game is being developed for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Developed by Hudson and published by Capcom, Resident Evil Umbrella Corps is a team-based multiplayer shooter set in the Resident Evil universe. The game's protagonists are Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, as they team up to fight a biological weapon that infected citizens. However, Resident Evil Umbrella Corps' antagonist is an artificial intelligence named Zofia, whose Makinoko file causes her death, giving her back her body. It also includes a single-player campaign that will be playable cooperatively or competitively.

The game is currently scheduled to launch sometime in 2009. A GameSpot representative was not immediately available to comment on whether the game will be out before or after the PlayStation 3.
