8-Bit Hordes - Gamers' Choice game of the year for our US readers - is in stores today and is an early Christmas gift for the avid gamer. What is 8-Bit Hordes?

"If you are a PC gamer who enjoys the company of Electronic Arts, this is a must-have gift for you," says Andreas Seidl, owner and CEO of 8-Bit's online gaming community. "While we have been fighting for the past few weeks, we are expecting an extremely high-quality line-up of games for the holidays. This is a great gift for the computer gamer, and there are a few of us who don't want to wait until Christmas to upgrade our machine."

8-Bit Hordes.com (opens in new tab)is a 2-in-1 program used by PC gamers that allows gamers to control PCs and control everything with ease. However, because the program is limited to PC owners, we decided to choose the MS-DOS-based software that will allow 8-Bit computers to run.

"This program is designed for the serious gamer who needs to play great games and turn their machine into a tablet."

And don't forget to buy a PS3... We're giving away PS3s for FREE to students who wish to make the greatest games they can - but not everybody has the patience for that sort of money.

The Computer Gaming Challenge is an online-focused competition where people can create a video game or software for free that they can share with others using social media. This competition gives PC gamers the chance to work on their computers.

As part of the Computer Gaming Challenge, Steam can be used to "get games into the hands of their peers", where they can go back and edit their game in exchange for a share of the profits.

This will be a great way for you to develop your own PC games for free, as long as you have the time to do so.

But it's not just about making the games, it's about protecting the way the games are made. With PC gaming, there's a new way of teaching people about how games work.

You can use Steam to design the rules for games in your library, the rules on how they are made, and then you can create a game in Steam, just by writing the rules.

If you want to do something like go through Steam, say, write the rules, you can do that.

On your PC, you can be involved in the developer community, and in a way, you can try to break it all open and put your game in the hands of your peers. But it's very complicated, it's a pretty expensive system, it's pretty complicated.

And even if you're not involved in the community, there's still time and money to make games, and then you can do something like create a game in Steam, or you can do something like play something for free.

And, I think, in terms of Steam, it's also really powerful. It can get you things like a broad gaming portfolio, but you can also sort of go into games that you can't do in Steam for free.

You've said you want to do anything but try to make a game that people want to play and then can still play as much as you want. But there's lots of stuff that you can't do on the platform that's also people that want to play.

The real, big one is that the company that manages games and we talk to publishers and developers is incredibly dedicated to making great games, and to create games for free. And it makes sense that you're on your own terms, and you can't do the same thing on Steam for free.

You recently teamed up with Dragon Age creator BioWare to create a new RPG called The Old Republic. Is that the end goal? If so, what's the solution?

Yeah. Right now we're still working on our vision for what we want to achieve on the platform and what we don't want to do. It just feels right. The new job we are doing, we're working on getting people to play our games, and we're doing it to make sure that the game is fun, without cheating and so on. I mean, we're not talking about the thing that we've done in the past, it's just you kind of getting along with us, and we're working on it and communicating, but the game is fun. So it's not just a competition, we're making the game with the community that we want to have fun.
