Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy's publisher, Sega, announced that it has acquired the rights to make a film based on the game franchise. The film will be titled Stargate, and it is expected to hit theaters in 2001. The game, which was developed by Traveller's Tales and published by Eidos Interactive, follows the adventures of Sphinx and his faithful mummy.
